You're really only talking about Baumbach + Stillman Eigeman, right? Because Maid in Manhattan was sorta bad. And, I'm astonished to learn from the link, which was directed by Wayne Wang, along with Because of Winn-Dixie, which as far as I know was entirely uneigemanated.
Yes, the whole theoretical point is to get Eigeman some good work. I don't see myself sitting through Maid in Manhattan anytime soon.
