And you thought Jon Stewart was startin' something
While I'm not exactly a huge fan of Frank Zappa's music, these clips of him hating on the PMRC on CNN Crossfire in the mid-'80s are pretty damned fascinating.
Clip One: See Zappa get into a serious verbal brawl with a Washington Times writer who appears to be a J.T. Walsh character. Plus Robert Novak, when he had hair!
Clip Two: A less eventful segment, but one of the co-hosts, I believe, is Michael Kinsey, future founding editor of Slate.com.
These clips hold obvious historical value, not least of which is the capsulation of a time when CNN productions looked like public access. Ah, the days before news crawls and sundry other icons, graphics and flotsam.
