Has VH-1 contacted you yet to appear on I Love Profanity and I Love When I Think I Hear Something But Have Actually Heard A Different, Unrelated Thing? They already hit me up to provide a few quips for I Love Italics.
The cell phone sound in Calvary Cross, it isn't on the live version of the song that appears on Watching the Dark, is it? I don't hear it there.
I definitely know the effect you are talking about though. There's one song (and it kills me that I can't remember which one) always gives me the acrid taste of adrenaline because I think I hear a police siren when it plays in my car.
The version of "Calvary Cross" in question can be found on the new RT: The Life and Times of Richard Thompson boxed set. If all this doesn't prove my nerd bona fides, I don't know what will.
