If Taymor's able to come up with anything as out there as Pepper's abysmally literal yet lazer beam-heavy "Get Back" sequence -- sung, of course, to a suicide jumper -- then Universe should be something else. Of course, Taymor is hardly the visual stylist that Michael "Coolie High" Schutlz is.
Also, George Burns rocking the guitar in a gazeebo as he croons "Fixin' a Hole."
For a time, I toyed with the idea of a book of the most dubious Beatles moments. The Sgt. Pepper movie would, of course, top the list. I knew this even before seeing the film.
As for Across the Universe, I'm pretty sure it will be soon be cited as a reason for the seperation of Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills.
